May 15-16, 2025, Zhang Kuibang, Party Secretary of the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau of Putuo District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, led a delegation to visit the World Music Culture Museum. Director Zhang Jingxuan hosted the delegation with his team. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on establishing cultural and museum venues and jointly developing the artistic and museum industry, reaching multiple cooperative intentions.
This visit marks a significant milestone in establishing collaborative ties within the music museum sector, following last year's in-depth research conducted by Sun Zhilong, Secretary of the District Party Committee of Putuo District, Zhejiang Province, and Xia Kaihui, Chairman of the CPPCC, at our museum.
On the afternoon of May 15, 2025, the Putuo District delegation toured the World Music Culture Museum. Accompanied by Director Zhang Jingxuan, the delegation conducted a detailed inspection of all exhibition zones, focusing on musical artefact collections, innovative exhibition design, and achievements in international cultural exchange.
From displays of traditional musical instruments to interactive experiences powered by modern technology, the museum's "Museum+" operational philosophy left a profound impression on the delegation. During the visit, both parties exchanged views on topics including cultural and social value, cultural heritage, and the tourism industry, as well as leveraging music culture to drive consumption. They engaged in in-depth discussions on effective ways to integrate music cultural heritage with Zhoushan's local culture.
On the morning of May 16, a cooperative exchange symposium was held between the two parties. Zhang Jingxuan, Founder and Director of the World Music Culture Museum, shared the museum's experiences and achievements in cultural IP development, exhibition planning, social education, and diversified operations within the cultural and museum industry. The Putuo District delegation provided a detailed overview of local cultural industry development plans and needs, highlighting the Marine Cultural Creative Park construction project. They expressed hope for deep cooperation with the museum in relevant fields and extended an invitation for the museum team to conduct an on-site inspection in Zhoushan.
Both parties engaged in extensive discussions regarding the implementation format and cooperation model for the World Music Culture Museum project in Putuo District, Zhoushan. By leveraging complementary strengths and pursuing coordinated development, this collaboration will effectively promote the deep integration of music culture with local, distinctive cultures, injecting new momentum into the development of Putuo District's cultural industry.
